Lauren James, FNP-C
Lauren grew up in Nashville, TN. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She worked as a registered nurse for five years prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. Her career started on a neurosurgical unit at Parkwest Hospital and she later moved back to Nashville and started in Vanderbilt’s Surgical Intensive Care Unit. She earned her Masters degree through Middle Tennessee State University’s graduate program and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed one of her clinical rotations at Cool Springs Internal Medicine & Pediatrics during her schooling and is very happy to be working with the CSIMP team. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Middle Tennessee Advanced Practice Nurses associations.
She strives to provide the best possible care to patients of all ages and enjoys building trusting, therapeutic relationships with each one of them. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog, going to concerts, cheering on the Vols, eating Mexican food and traveling.
Emily Sitomer, FNP-C
Emily grew up in McMinnville, TN and attended high school at the Webb School in Bell Buckle. She graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University, majoring in Child Development and Medicine, Health, and Society. She continued at Vanderbilt to complete her Masters in Nursing in 2012. After graduation, Emily worked at a primary care practice in the Dallas, TX area prior to moving back to Nashville. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.
Emily is passionate about providing individualized care to patients of all ages. Her goal as a health care provider is not only to manage health and diagnose and treat illness, but also to develop meaningful, trusting relationships with each patient.
Kylynn Daniels, FNP-BC
A graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, Kylynn is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has provided primary care at CSIMP since 2014. Kylynn earned her B.S. in Biology from Lipscomb University before earning her Master’s in Nursing. During her time as a student at Vanderbilt, she worked as both a cardiac nurse and a renal transplant nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. While in school she was a nominee for an excellence in practice award and has also received the Pearl Olzewski Servanthood Award. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau (the nursing honors society). Outside of work, Kylynn enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, hiking, going on mission trips, traveling to visit family, and playing the violin.
Kristen Allen, DNP, FNP-BC
Kristen grew up in southern Kentucky but has called Nashville home for many years. She started college at University of Kentucky then transferred to University of North Alabama to complete her Bachelor’s in Nursing. Kristen worked in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Centennial Medical Center before continuing her education at Belmont University. She graduated from Belmont University and is an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Kristen was also awarded her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Belmont after completing research in the area of patient satisfaction in breast cancer patients utilizing patient care navigators. She is a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing. She enjoys developing trusting relationships with and providing care to patients of all ages. In her spare time, Kristen enjoys spending time with her dog Waylon, traveling, being outdoors and trying any new Nashville restaurant.
Kristine Izzi, FNP-C
Kristine grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee. She graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Belmont University. She then worked as a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery at Vanderbilt Medical Center prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. Kristine earned her Master’s degree from Vanderbilt University and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the Tennessee Nurses Association. Kristine is passionate about optimizing health and wellness, treating illness, and building relationships with patients of all ages.
Macy Nelms, FNP-BC
Macy grew up in Chattanooga, TN. She attended nursing school at Lipscomb University where she graduated summa cum laude. Macy has worked as an RN at Saint Thomas Hospital on an orthopedic floor as well as in the intensive care unit. She received her Master’s degree from Belmont University and is currently a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of Sigma Theta Tau. Macy is passionate about providing individualized, patient-centered care across the life span. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, trying new foods and restaurants, and playing with her dog, Benji.
Natalie Gomez, MSN, FNP-BC
Natalie grew up in West Tennessee, but has been in the Nashville area for over a decade. She graduated with a Biology degree from the University of Mississippi in 2005 and she continued her education at Belmont University for her Master's in Nursing in 2008. Natalie has worked in primary care with the Tennessee Department of Health and most recently in a retail health setting. She is an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of Sigma Theta Tau. Natalie enjoys spending time with her dog, Millie, cooking, watching sports, and traveling.
Alexis Purdom, FNP-C
Alexis grew up in Columbia, TN. After obtaining her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Middle Tennessee State University, she moved to Nashville to work at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She worked as a registered nurse in the Surgical ICU and Labor and Delivery before ultimately settling in as a NICU nurse. She earned her Master's degree at Austin Peay State University and is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Alexis was nominated for the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year in 2018, and is a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association. She loves spending time with her husband and daughter, exploring Nashville one restaurant at a time, traveling, and hiking.
Peyton Lee, DNP, FNP-BC
Peyton grew up in Brentwood, TN. As a born-and-raised Tennessee Volunteer, Peyton graduated from UT Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a focus in Marriage and Family Studies. She worked as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse at Summit Medical Center until she made the decision to further her nursing career. Graduating from Belmont University as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Peyton was awarded a doctor of nursing practice degree by researching mental illness stigma in hopes of improving the future provision of mental and emotional health care in the primary care setting. She is a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of nursing. Peyton is thrilled to serve the members of her hometown while working in collaboration with the amazing group of healthcare providers at Internal Medicine & Pediatrics.
