Lauren Owen, FNP-C
Lauren grew up in Nashville, TN. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She worked as a registered nurse for five years prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. Her career started on a neurosurgical unit at Parkwest Hospital and she later moved back to Nashville and started in Vanderbilt’s Surgical Intensive Care Unit. She earned her Masters degree through Middle Tennessee State University’s graduate program and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed one of her clinical rotations at Cool Springs Internal Medicine & Pediatrics during her schooling and is very happy to be working with the CSIMP team. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Middle Tennessee Advanced Practice Nurses associations.
She strives to provide the best possible care to patients of all ages and enjoys building trusting, therapeutic relationships with each one of them. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog, going to concerts, cheering on the Vols, eating Mexican food and traveling.
Emily Sitomer, FNP-C
Emily grew up in McMinnville, TN and attended high school at the Webb School in Bell Buckle. She graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University, majoring in Child Development and Medicine, Health, and Society. She continued at Vanderbilt to complete her Masters in Nursing in 2012. After graduation, Emily worked at a primary care practice in the Dallas, TX area prior to moving back to Nashville. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.
Emily is passionate about providing individualized care to patients of all ages. Her goal as a health care provider is not only to manage health and diagnose and treat illness, but also to develop meaningful, trusting relationships with each patient.
Kylynn Daniels, FNP-BC
A graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, Kylynn is a Family Nurse Practitioner. Kylynn earned her B.S. in Biology from Lipscomb University before earning her Master’s in Nursing. During her time as a student at Vanderbilt, she worked as both a cardiac nurse and a renal transplant nurse at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
While in school she was a nominee for an excellence in practice award and has also received the Pearl Olzewski Servanthood Award. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau (the nursing honors society) and the Tennessee Nurses Association. Outside of work, Kylynn enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, hiking, going on mission trips, traveling to visit family, and playing the violin.
Kristen Allen, DNP, FNP-BC
Kristen earned her BSN from the University of North Alabama and worked in cardiac intensive care for three years before returning to graduate school. She completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Belmont University and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Kristine Izzi, FNP-C
Kristine grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee. She graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Belmont University. She then worked as a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery at Vanderbilt Medical Center prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. Kristine earned her Master’s degree from Vanderbilt University and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the Tennessee Nurses Association. Kristine is passionate about optimizing health and wellness, treating illness, and building relationships with patients of all ages.
Macy Nelms, FNP-BC
Macy graduated from Belmont University with her Masters in Nursing and is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Laura Brooker, FNP-C
Laura is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama with her Bachelors in Nursing in 2013. She practiced for four years as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit before obtaining her Masters in Nursing degree from her alma mater in 2017. Laura completed her final clinical rotation at Cool Springs Internal Medicine and Pediatrics before joining their team full-time. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as the Tennessee Nurse Practitioner Association.
Laura is passionate about providing individualized care to patients and families of all ages. She enjoys educating patients on different disease processes and treatment options. She considers it a privilege to practice medicine in this setting and thoroughly enjoys the meaningful relationships she has developed as a result. She and her husband live in the Nashville area and enjoy hiking, running, eating Jeni’s ice cream, and spending time with their dog, Murphy.
Natalie Gomez, MSN, FNP-BC
Natalie grew up in West Tennessee but has been in the Nashville area for the last 12 years. She graduated with a Biology degree from the University of Mississippi in 2005 and she continued her education at Belmont University for her Master's in Nursing in 2008. Natalie has worked in primary care with the Tennessee Department of Health and most recently in a retail health setting. She is an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of Sigma Theta Tau. Natalie enjoys spending time with her dog, Millie, cooking, watching sports, and traveling.
Brianna Pendergrass, FNP-BC
Brianna is originally from Clinton, MS. She graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelors in Nursing in 2013 and started her career as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room in Mississippi and Arizona. Brianna moved to Nashville in 2016 and continued practicing as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Saint Thomas Midtown. She completed her Masters in Nursing at Belmont University and became board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She feels very honored to treat patients across all life spans as well as have those put their trust in her to care for them.
Brianna resides in Nashville with her dog Mr. Louie and enjoys anything adventurous; she is always up for an outdoor adventure. Brianna also enjoys medical missions and volunteering her skills to provide care in areas underserved.
